26.March.2026 It's official! I am acquiring a Vandercook SP-15 printing press. With all due respect to my much-loved C&P pilot press, the Vandercook will greatly expand what I'm able to do. It doesn't happen until April 26, but it's happening! Watch this space!

POINTLESS POINT PRESS: WHAT'S THE POINT?
Pointless Point Press is a money-free, barter-based letterpress art experiment.
Here's how it works: I make stuff and usually I give it away. If it's more complicated and takes a long time to make, I trade it. You offer me something and if I want it, I give you the thing I made. Simple.
I prefer things that you made yourself, like your own letterpress creations or original art, but am open to anything that resonates with me. Some examples: odd, strange, and rare books, optical devices, anything to do with printing and bookbinding (especially tools), mechanical curiosities, homemade donuts, maps, vintage magazines, old photo albums, small toys, fossils. You get the idea.
The underlying principle of Pointless Point Press is to move away from speed, ease, and digital “reality”, and towards something more homemade, slow, friction-filled, and incomputable. If our transaction becomes complicated and requires more communication or meetings, all the better. The idea is to re-entangle ourselves in the real work, and in the real world.
Below you'll find a gallery of stuff I made, and another of stuff I got for stuff I made. These will both grow over time. Hopefully.
